Founder of Camp Cascadia Inspires Youth
Esther McChesney Esther McChesney founded Camp Cascadia, a Christian day camp at Cascade View PC, 41 years ago. She still attends camp summer.
Pastor Bob Higgins said, "She was ahead of her time in understanding the nature of a global community."

Rev. Cook Receives Promotion
Rev. Mark Cook Rev. Mark Cook recently passed his one year mark as a Navy chaplain. On Aug. 31, 2010 he will be promoted from Lieutenant Junior Grade to Lieutenant. There will be a brief ceremony at Bangor Chapel. Congrats Rev. Mark!

Christianity for the Rest of Us by Diana Butler Bass Christianity for the Rest of Us will be one of the books discussed by Diana Butler Bass at VERGE 2010 on Sat., Sept. 18, 2010, 10am-3pm, at North Creek PC, Mill Creek.

Anniversary at Cottage Lake PC
Rev. Scott Anthony Cottage Lake PC in Woodinville will celebrate its 60th Annivesary on Sun., Aug. 29, 2010, with a worship service at 10am, participation from former pastors and special music followed by a barbecue lunch. Church is located at 18350 NE Woodinville-Duvall Place, Woodinville.

Family Holiday Camp Tall Timber Ranch is holding Family Holiday Camp Sept. 3-6, 2010. The relaxed schedule provides for daily opportunities for Christian teaching and music, as well as options like concerts, talent nights, campfires, and worship together. Find out more.
