What happens if I don't pay IAA? ›

Renege Fee - In the event Buyer fails to pay for a vehicle within seven (7) calendar days inclusive of the day the vehicle is awarded to Buyer, Buyer shall pay IAA a “Renege Fee” equal to $1,000 or 15% of sale price, whichever is greater.

In order to request a vehicle that is awarded into your account to be reneged, you must send your request via Email to Buyer Services and list your buyer number, the stock number and the reason why you want to renege the vehicle.

For domestic-based buyers, payment is due by 5:00 p.m. local time on the second day after the vehicle is awarded (plus two days). For instance, if the vehicle was awarded on a Monday, payment is due by 5:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday. Foreign-based buyers have four days to pay (auction day plus four days).

Sometimes, Buyers are unable to bid if their membership has expired or their license and documents on file are out of date. Log in and navigate to your profile. Check your User Profile tab, to see if your yearly membership fee has expired.

Most auction houses choose not to pursue complicated, expensive, and time-consuming lawsuits, so failed bid cases rarely end up in court. Instead, unpaid items are usually returned to the original consignor, put into a future auction, or sold privately.

How much is the registration fee for Iaai? ›

Payment. A registration fee of $200 is required at sign-up.

In Person: Cash (up to $500), Money Order, or Certified Check made out to “ACSC”. Financing only available with AFC. All ACE vehicles must be paid and picked up on the day vehicle was awarded + 2 business days. (i.e., if auction is on Monday, payment and pickup is due by close of business on Wednesday).

If you don't pay, 96 hours from the end of the auction the seller can cancel the transaction citing buyer didn't pay. Showing vehicles at their best is smart selling. If a listing indicates Run & Drive, that vehicle was able to start and move under its own power.

Vehicle Relist Fee

If the lot is not paid in full within 8 calendar days (including the day of sale), the vehicle will be relisted. The Relist Fee will be 10% of the final sale price with a minimum of $600.

If you still don't pay, your credit file could also be affected as they can be marked as defaults on your credit report. Your debt also could be passed onto a debt collection agency, and the supplier could also apply to a court to get a county court judgement (CCJ) against you.

Every item won through a GovPlanet auction must be paid in full within three (3) business days. Items for which full payment has not been received within 3 business days will be subject to late payment charges.
